About Active Youngins Foundation

Active Youngins Foundation ke barona is a youth-led organisation operating in Alexandra for the Greater Alexandra Areas. The organisation was established in 2007 by youth for community development.

From inception, our purpose has always been to care for the economic development and social development of the disadvantaged community members of Greater Alexandra and surrounding areas. We believe that by equipping and providing youth with economic skills whilst caring for their social needs they will grow to become self-reliant.

This we achieve by constantly evaluating the evolving needs of the environment and the community members in partnering with a lot of stakeholders, we ensure that we are in the know about avenues of growth for the community members, therefore, creating opportunities for them to be empowered. The outcomes amongst others will be less reliance on state social benefits, less crime as community members will be engaged in work which they love, decreasing of poverty and the creation of patriotic community members who pay their taxes for the benefit of both themselves and the state of its citizens.

To develop the youth of Greater Alexandra and surrounding areas to be self-reliant socially and economically and aware of their human rights.

Mission

To create opportunities where youth will empower themselves with knowledge and skills in a developing economy by being employable and becoming entrepreneurs thus creating job opportunities for others.
